SkyWalker1i: a fully integrated telescope control system
SkyWalker1i is a complete telescope control system. SkyWalker1i provides all the components necessary to setup a telescope control system on custom telescope mounts. This includes a SkyWalker1 motor and accessory controller, DC servomotors, servo drivers, power supplies, all necessary cabling and our SkyGuide-Win Telescope Control System software.

SkyWalker1i is designed for convenience, functionality and reliability:
	•	The servo drivers are compact and installed near the servomotors. This configuration minimizes cabling. The cabling that is necessary simply delivers DC power and control signals rather than motor coil current.
	•	All cabling is supplied pre-assembled and tested by Astrometric Instruments. No "loose wire" connections are necessary. All connections are either through robust connectors or are pre-wired to removable terminal blocks.
	•	SkyWalker1i has the full, and generous, functionality of all SkyWalker models.
	•	Our SkyGuide-Win software allows the SkyWalker1i system to be fully configured for any/all custom installations.
	•	SkyWalker1i is designed for maximum reliability. Full metal (aluminum) enclosures on SkyWalker1 and the servo drivers, fully sleeved cabling, and clean connector wire terminations (i.e. no "loose wire" connections) assures this.

All SkyWalker1i systems include support in adapting the system to custom mounts. Typically, we provide customers with suggested additional speed reduction to use with their existing mount's gearing to properly match the servomotors to the task. We can provide suitable additional reduction (if necessary) at very reasonable costs. We can also provide a wealth of application assistance on everything from suggested optical encoders (allowing for manual movement without loss of alignment) to peripheral control (e.g. focus, dome, dew heaters, etc.).

SkyWalker1i is available with several motor sizes, power supply and optical encoder options.
