We are proud to introduce DomePro2. DomePro2 is born from the experience of installing our original DomePro product (first in 2006) on numerous domes by Ash Manufacturing and others.
DomePro provides fully automated control of all types of telescope enclosures including: classic domes, clamshell domes and roll-off roof enclosures. DomePro2 is specifically design for remote observatory control:
Astrometric specializes in integrated control systems for domes from Ash Manufacturing, Astro Haven, Technical Innovations, Explora Dome, Sirius and others. Our system will adapt to any dome that can be motorized for rotation and/or shutter control.
All of our dome control systems are complete packages and, in many cases, involve drop-in installation. Included is everything needed to provide reliable dome automation using existing (manufacturer installed) motors. For domes without existing motors, we can assist in adapting suitable motors.

DomePro2-d consists of two modules, one for controlling dome azimuth motors (for rotation) and a second module (linked by wireless or cabled interface to the azimuth module) for controlling dome shutter motors.
DomePro2-c is one module that controls the two sides of the clamshell. Independent closure of either side to any angle is provided.
The DomePro2-dx system is designed to control Explora Domes from Polydome of Litchfield, MN. DomePro2-dx brings much of the “premium” capability of our DomePro2-d system into the affordable amateur market. DomePro2-dx is designed for drop-in installation in Explora Dome 8’ and 11’ domes.
Our flagship DomePro2 products shown above provide the most immediate, and often "drop in", solutions for dome control however we do offer the following products for custom applications. DomePro for roll-off roof observatories is provided as one module that controls the roof, and in many cases, a gable door needed to provide telescope clearance.
Since 2006 we have been selling our DomePro controller modules as stand-alone components. In 2016 we started offering our new integrated DomePro2 controllers (detailed above) which are based off the same controller module present in our PrimeTCS telescope control product. For Astrometric, this provides standardization of hardware across all product lines which will assure product availability (both new and replacement), no matter the function, far into the future.
The base controller module included in our integrated DomePro2 systems is available separately for customers who would like to build-out their own motors and mechanisms to move the dome components.
